At the start of 2023, with tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney on the rise, I saw an opportunity to bring a long time dream to life: making a comic book. I spent weeks generating thousands of images, combining them into a cohesive narrative, and used Photoshop to maintain character consistency throughout. The result was a fully realized AI-assisted visual story, blending traditional storytelling with emerging technology.

Why did I riso print this
I chose to Riso print this comic as a playful contrast between old and new technology. Since Cognis explores the future and AI, it felt fitting to use a retro printing aesthetic like Riso, emphasizing the blend of classic craftsmanship with futuristic themes. The irony of using older tech to print a story about cutting-edge AI gives the project a unique, nostalgic edge while staying rooted in futuristic concepts.
