Concept
The creative strategy behind OXA was to turn a necessary utility into a design statement. I wanted to reimagine air detoxification as an elegant, energy-free process that seamlessly fits into any environment. By leveraging 3D printing, I created a form that is subtle yet effective, challenging the clunky and noisy devices on the market while offering a refined solution that enhances any space.
OXA's unique design is inspired by Favia coral, whose intricate, porous structure helps trap sediments and supports filter feeders that contribute to clear ocean waters. By mimicking this natural form, OXA offers an elegant solution to air purification, symbolizing nature's innate ability to refresh and cleanse its environment.
The advertising campaign for OXA was designed to spread awareness about how toxic our air can be. One bus stop ad features a real time meter that shows exactly how clean or dirty the air is at that specific moment, constantly updating to capture the viewer's attention. Another ad clearly demonstrates the dramatic before and after difference when OXA is installed in a home, while a third ad highlights OXA's unique features and elegant design.
